Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. Her mom raised her in the USA in a place where she endured many racial taunts that caused her to feel as a non-person. When she attended a 9th grade school audition where she received praises for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. The event not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on the future. In 1992, she received her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. In the year 23 she made her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway production of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. In 2007 she was cast on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. The actress is also a renowned performer and has released an extended play. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate to promote LGBT equality.
