Ashley was conceived by her mother in San Clemente California, on February 10th 1987. At the age of 5 and began surfing, she started prior to moving out of California and into Hawaii. When she was six, she was able to win an event using an old-fashioned board she discovered in the rubbish outside her house. The year was 2005 when she started surfing. She won her very first competition at the age of six. At the age of 7, she received sponsorship. She was raised in San Clemente California before moving to Hawaii.
